Thank You!

As the coordinator for WoodFair, I thank all who helped make it a success, particularly the residents of the North Coast who came out to share the celebration of wood. WoodFair, a project of the Humboldt Woodworking Society, helps us provide education in woodworking, increase public knowledge about woodworking, foster best practices in woodworking, and foster community among woodworkers.

WoodFair is a well-loved tradition started by College of the Redwoods. July 9-10 marked the 22nd WoodFair. It has been presented since 2008 by Humboldt Woodworking Society, and we owe many thanks to Almquist Lumber Co. who provided our venue for these four years.

Thank you to participants, volunteers, exhibition judges, presenters, instructors, musicians, and staff of CR. Thanks to generous individuals for raffle and auction prizes. Proceeds go to develop WoodFair 2012, and support our educational mission including scholarships for College of the Redwoods.

Thanks go to our sponsors: Almquist Lumber, Barnum Timber, Rosebud Woodworking, Northern California Safety Consortium, Humboldt Redwood Co., Green Diamond Resource Co., College of the Redwoods Foundation, Forbes Cabinets, Whitethorn Construction, John and Barbara MacEvoy, Ted and Linda Kuiper, Crestmark Architectural Millworks, Pierson Building Center, Marimba One, Custom Cabinets, Urban Lumber, Environmental Technology, J R Stephens, Thomas Home Center, Arcata Millworks, Barry Smith Construction, Stalker Custom Recurves, KIEM News Channel 3, KHSU, and Times-Standard.

Thank you all for your ongoing support for WoodFair.
