Another Successful WoodFair

Thanks to all the hard work of our Events Coordinator, Susan Bicknell, the Liaison Team, and all the hardworking HSW volunteers, the society was able to provide the community another WoodFair. Over 1500 people attended. Don Bicknell, our treasurer, will give a full report on the finances in September, but he estimates that the society has cleared over $2000 over expenses to be carried forward for WoodFair 2011. In addition, the Scholarship Silent Auction netted $1,140, which will allow the society to offer spring scholarships to CR woodworking students as well as for this coming fall semester. Board of Directors of the Humboldt Wildlife Care Center, whose volunteers catered the affair, Sent us a Thank You card. The monies they made will help them greatly to continue their mission to provide medical care for injured wildlife in our community.
